I am so ready for the spring and summer. I always look forward to bright sunny days with blue skies and a nice breeze. And I also love an uncomplicated breezy dress that let's me soak it all in.
My dress from the Naomi pattern is perfect for those days. Here, I wore here with heels, but I've also worn her with sneakers for more comfort.
The fun part about Naomi is the lining. It can actually be seen on the shoulder straps, so I chose a fun print from a georgette I found on clearance in the Fashion District in LA.
My main fabric is a silver-ish taupe-ish shimmery-ish polyester from Fabric Mart that has since sold out. I actually used the wrong side of the fabric for a less shimmery finish and I loved it.
If you're new to lining, I highly suggest this dress from the Naomi pattern. It's the perfect kick start to experimenting with with the world of linings. The entire dress is only 4 pattern pieces and a very quick sew!
