_x000D_ _x000D_ Simplicity 1115 Pattern ReviewPattern Description: This long or short jumpsuit for miss is a must have item from Mimi G Style. Pattern includes long slim jumpsuit, or short jumpsuit with one arm and asymmetric over bodice, or short strapless jumpsuit with tie belt._x000D_ _x000D_ Pattern Sizing:_x000D_ I sewed View C and cut a size 12 for the bodice and a 10 for the shorts._x000D_ _x000D_ Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?_x000D_ Yes, sort of._x000D_ _x000D_ Were the instructions easy to follow?_x000D_ This pattern is super easy to sew. The written instructions were very clear as well as the pictures. If you're familiar with construction, you may not even need to use them much. The video tutorial is a great supplement if you'd like the sew-along option._x000D_ _x000D_ What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?_x000D_ I love the style of the jumper. The instructions were very easy to read. The only thing I didn't like is that this view did not intend for pockets, but it's an easy addition depending on your fabric choice._x000D_ _x000D_ Fabric Used:_x000D_ I used a luxurious ponte knit from Mood Fabrics. Find it here._x000D_ _x000D_ This fabric cuts and sews beautifully. It's pretty easy to work with just as ponte knits usually are. It can get a bit bulky within the seam allowances, so I serged and trimmed off the excess to reduce that bulkiness._x000D_ _x000D_ I also lined the bodice with this fabric._x000D_ _x000D_ Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:_x000D_ - Shortened the pants to shorts_x000D_ - Added 1" length to bodice pieces_x000D_ - Removed the zipper_x000D_ - Shortened the waist of the shorts about 2"_x000D_ - Removed the back bodice boning_x000D_ _x000D_ Per my upper bust measurements, I should have sewn a 10 in my bodice, but since it was so many pieces, I sewed the 12 and just took in the upper bust where it was big. The 12 fit my regular bust and waist perfectly and so I just needed to take in the upper bust area. And since I don't have to be worried about armholes, it was an easy choice. Had I sewn the 10, I'd have had to do a full bust adjustment and then a waist adjustments. No thanks, I'll go with the path of least resistance._x000D_ _x000D_ The back bodice boning pieces were not working for me and I felt that I got a smoother look at the back without them._x000D_ _x000D_ Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?_x000D_ Absolutely! This pattern is stylish and easy to sew up. The pieces can be mixed and matched and it works with different styles of fabrics._x000D_ _x000D_ Conclusion: _x000D_ Even though there are a several pieces for view C, it's not a daunting project. If you've never worked with boning before, the instructions are clear and you have the video tutorial to supplement as well. It's stylish, it's a great introduction to warmer weather and I love it!_x000D_ _x000D_ IMG_2060 Simplicity 1115 Pattern Review
